Literature Collection of China Association for Science and Technology

Literature Collection of China Association for Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the  collection) is developed from Special Collection from China Association for Science and Technology which was founded in 2002. To fully implement the Notice Regarding the Establishment of Mechanism of Literature Collection and Communication from China Association for Science and Technology, the  collection was set up by Beijing Institute of Technology Library, Academic department of China Association for Science and Technology and Service Center of China Association for Science and Technology. The collection has gradually developed into an integration of literature collection, academic exchanges, information services and intelligence research. The conference proceedings and the conference proceedings set have been published in the form of electronic literature on the Knowledge Services Platform of China Association for Science and Technology (http:/10.1.121.200/jspui/), which can be accessed and downloaded from the school.

The collection has collected conference documents (or proceedings set), journals, books, reports, yearbooks, projects and achievements, work compilation, commemorative book, memorabilia, association newsletter, working papers and literature of academicians from the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and 267 societies, associations, seminars and other units of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Furthermore, the collection also includes the achievements of academic exchanges of the Ministry of Education Graduate Education Innovation Program, such as the academic exchange materials, essays set, courseware and summary reports from the National Doctoral Academic Forum and the National Postgraduate Summer School.

 Conference Proceedings Set and Other Information

In order to promote the use and the dissemination of the literature, the conference proceedings and the conference papers have gradually been digitized since 2009. In addition, an exclusive database, information index and management platform have been set up by means of the digital storage of the standard computer room and under the management of specialized data management personnel. The main work is to maintain the database, update and supplement new digital literature.

Special Collection from China Association for Science and Technology is open to the national scientific and technical workers who can borrow or copy the literature by the identification card or work permit. You can also obtain the copy of printed or electronic literature by means of the interlibrary loan from Beijing Institute of Technology or the document delivery services from the Knowledge Services Platform of China Association for Science and Technology.
