BALIS Document Delivery (merged with CALIS)

All students and faculty could get e-resource from member libraries for free:

How to apply:

First-time users should log in BALIS document delivery center website and click “create an account”, choosing Zhongguancun Campus or Liangxiang Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology as the registered school. Please fill in the e-mail address that is real and valid so that you can receive a notification sent by the system in time. You can wait for confirmation from the staff of Document Delivery. 

How to use:

◆ You can search” BALIS Document Delivery union searching system” (CALIS Current Contents of Western Journals, National Science and Technology Library and BALISOPAC Union Catalog) for documents and then send your request to another library or Subject Service for document delivery. If the documents are from NSTL, you are supposed to make applications to Subject Service and note that the documents come from NSTL.

◆ If the other side can meet the loan request, you will receive an e-mail with the documents you need when you receive the notification of document arrival which is sent by e-mail.

 Notice:

◆ For each item, only one-third of its copy will be provided and within the same journal, only 4 copied articles will be offered.

◆ Requests for the delivery of common documents are responded within one workday and the documents are sent out within 2 or 3 workdays. The response will be postponed when a holiday or vacation comes. Requests for the delivery of urgent documents are responded within one workday and the documents are sent out within one workday. The response will be postponed when a holiday or vacation comes.

◆  For documents which are not collected by our library, processing will be postponed if they are transferred to other libraries.
